Collen Construction in €48m deal

Collen Construction has won a €48.8 million contract from the National Association of Building Co-Operatives (Nabco) to build a new residential development in Tyrellstown, West Dublin.The new development will consist of 232 residential units in a mix of two- and three-storey homes. Collen was the lowest of nine bidders for the project, according to Nabco, the parent body for Irish local building co-operatives.
Collen has also been contracted to construct a number of community buildings to accompany the development.
These will include a 350 square metre creche, a 134 square metre estate management office, a 66 square metre housing association office, as well as a local shop and cafe.
The project will take in a small garden park and a larger 13,000 square metre land park which will include a flood-lit all-weather football pitch.
